Unresisting: dissatisfaction and anger with the real world which often remains in words or thoughts without any acts of resistance. Dissatisfaction may be expressed through sarcasm and ridicule, but while unresisting the situation will not really be changed.
This performance video explores the impact unresisting has on us, with four different chapters which are aligned with the slow decaying process of an apple to express my understanding of Failure. The story shows individuals choosing to escape or hide their true selves, and the breakthrough point which they arrive to without goals or directions. Following a refined egoist who ignores the world around her and only cares about herself. Filled with primitive desires and decadence, she is like a puppet trapped in contemporary society, escaping from self-awareness.
Yet failure is an inescapable reality. It is not merely the inability to achieve a goal but also a revelation of human helplessness and confusion amidst contradictions and struggles. It reflects the true state of individuals grappling with societal expectations and inner conflicts, highlighting the dilemma of wanting to escape but finding no way out. In modern society, failure is not just an endpoint but also a questioning of the status and a search for meaning.
