"Overload Junction"

Section MS9, Daryan Knoblauch

Keywords: traffic, systems, technology

In modern cities, traffic congestion has become an unavoidable challenge in daily life. The project "Overloaded Junction" explores the visual and structural portrayal of traffic systems under overload through an art installation that uses cable trays as a medium. This work reflects the strain and overload on urban infrastructure that we depend on, aiming to provoke thoughts on future urban traffic planning and sustainable development. The aim of "Overloaded Junction" is to visually represent the congestion and pressure within modern transportation systems through art. By using cable trays to simulate a complex traffic hub, the project layers and stacks the trays to symbolically represent the expansion of road networks and infrastructure within limited spaces. This interwoven structure conveys the disorder and overburdened state of current transportation systems.
