The project explores themes of memory, decay and the natural cycle of life through the use of gravestone inscriptions as central symbols of remembrance. By focusing on Brompton Cemetery as a case study, this exploration is rooted in a place where monuments to memory meet natural forces of decay. Capturing these inscriptions, presenting them as Cyanotype Printing on materials, and exposing them to natural decay, the tension between humanity's desire for eternity and the inevitability of returning to nature is explored. The study uses cemeteries as places where symbols of eternity meet forces of decay, seeking to demystify death by presenting it as a natural and ongoing transformation.
