A tiny, everyday ritual can briefly interrupt the structured rhythm of the city. The beginning of the film is very simple—just opening a pack of cigarettes and lighting one. I deliberately used close-up shots and real-time duration to 'slow down' these automatic, subconscious gestures that we usually don't even notice.
