In today's digital society, what we understand as real and virtual are constantly intertwined, and they affect our daily lives. The term virtual is often used to describe something or a state that is different from or independent of reality. In this project, I refer to the virtual in the sense of online/cyber, and I focus on the way in which we engage in communication via smartphones. Under this premise, I focus on the screen as a threshold between the online world and the real world.
The touchable screen is the gateway to our online lives, with invisible markers telling the story of connection. This project delves into the intimate stories engraved on our screens. Through photos, it captures invisible traces of touch, fingerprints, and whispers in our digital lives. After inversion and scanning, these traces are magnified and become unforgettable portraits of virtual encounters. The renovated screen installed on the wall transcends the device and becomes a window, inviting the audience to contemplate the digital remnants we leave behind and the intimate stories woven into the screen structure.
