This research-based project explores a Glimpse into Elephant and Castle's Latinx Community, showcasing a poignant narrative of grassroots resistance against gentrification. The newspaper delves into the challenges faced by the resilient Latin American community in London, navigating immigration policies, discrimination, and cultural adaptation and providing space to their alliances, projects, and cultural initiatives united against the spectre of displacement.
Through a qualitative research methodology, the printed contribution captures the community's struggle, utilising historical accounts, testimonies, and case studies from Elephant and Castle. The multimedia presentation includes a redesigned newspaper, inviting visitors to explore the multifaceted impacts of gentrification and advocating for an inclusive urban narrative that celebrates diversity.
