Photogrammetry is tool and a process by which to record an objects shape, volume and position through calculation from multiple images taken from different viewpoints. It is about things which are already existing around us. Hence, it is a tool through wich we can engage and somehow preserve things that may no longer exist in the future.
"The Proteus effect describes a phenomenon in which the behaviour of an individual, within virtual worlds, is changed by the characteristics of their avatar", How do our favourite things reveal our hopes and fears? Can objects tell the story of our lives? What is the first thing that I touch when I wake up in the morning?
My project explores these questions, using realitycapture methodologies and virtual space to navigate and reflect upon my identity via the objects I use and those that have a strong impact on my life.
