"Exploring the potentiality of an EEG as an artistic medium"
Keywords: moving image
This project aims to explore the use of Electroencephalogram (EEG) as an artistic medium. By isolating individuals with a real-time visualisation of their neural patterns, I seek to form an continuous dialogic cross-feed between their mind and the computer screen and sound.
Participants will be equipped with a custom built EEG headset that records their brain activity, and then processes and translates into a visual and sonic output projected and sounded to them in real-time.
By utilising an emerging medium that is currently reserved for scientific applications, this project expands the boundaries of the medium itself while also navigating new potentialities for experimenting with the fabric of subconscious perception where art exists.
