Breathing Metal is a project that investigates the relationship of air within enclosed environments, defining the act of breathing as a basic ritual for life. This media studies project uses an installation and a short clip in order to explore the chances, limits and protocols of air in relation to enclosed spaces. A physical installation as a metaphor of new breathing architecture will be made, as a call for people to rethink our relationship between internal and external space. The air duct will be the main material, PVC, air pump, and stainless steel tube will be used to mimic the movement of breathing in an enclosed framework. Conceptually, the project introduces dynamic organic breath movement to motionless architecture. As a way of presenting human future struggles and a new architectural solution to the air circulation.
