There is a strong parallel between traditional painting techniques practised in Hong Kong, and the disappearing elements of Hong Kong culture. I have created a series of collages, based on a joining of objects from both high and low culture. These objects could say they are like bastard objects. Bringing them together for their symbolism, and in order to stimulate conversation on the importance and values of Hong Kong’s disappearing culture, and its changing politics.
