Constant environmental noise exposure can cause a variety of health problems effects, including hearing loss, tinnitus, and cardiovascular disease. It can also negatively affect mental health, leading to problems such as social pressure, square intimidation, anxiety, and depression. As a result, people living or working surrounded by the ambient noise of capital like Oxford Street desperately need a place to shield themselves from the constant sound exposure of Oxford Street.

The device is connected to an environmental noise detection system - IEC 61672-1 Sound Level meter performance. The environmental noise is monitored at all times and when a certain level is reached, the data is transmitted to the device's skin power system. The device allows people to observe the decibel changes around the site and to find a temporary shelter in case of continuous sound pollution.
