"The Sense of a Ritual (Sense of Ceremony)"
"What is a rite?” asked the little prince. “Those also are actions too often neglected,” said the fox. “They are what make one day different from other days, one hour from other hours."1
In this project I aim to mediate a sense of a ritual that can take place in the mundane. Do the ceremonious aspects of eating turn this everyday action into a ritual? Can the ritual exist without the sense of ceremony? By juxtaposing two different approaches to this habitual act, in this short film I aim to mediate the distinction between the act of eating and the ritual of eating.
